WOMEN SHARING HOPE
|
|
Women Sharing Hope is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of Whatcom County, Washington. At a time when many worthwhile charities are struggling to operate with diminished funds and increased demands, Women Sharing Hope is a much-needed local volunteer organization that has stepped up to fill the need. Women Sharing Hope hosts two fund-raising events each year, benefiting three local charities nominated and chosen by its members. In addition, Women Sharing Hope uses its "Community Fund," funded by member dues and a small portion of event proceeds, to fund individual requests for help. Women Sharing Hope is operated entirely by volunteers, therefore 100% of net event proceeds are donated directly to local women and children. Women Sharing Hope events are managed and operated by members, effectively keeping expenses down, so that a significant percent of event proceeds are donated to local women and children.
